Founder and President of the People-Centered Development Forum (PCDForum), which is engaged in building global public awareness of the possibility of creating life serving economies as a foundation of just, sustainable, and inclusive human societies. The PCDForum is Dr. Korten's primary organizational base and its website archives much of his earlier writing. It is also the sponsor of the website of the Great Turning Initiative.

Cofounder and Board Chair, Positive Futures Network

Co-founder and Board Chair of the Positive Futures Network (PFN), which publishes YES! A Journal of Positive Futures. PFN seeks to enhance the power of people working to create a more just, sustainable, and compassionate future by increasing their public visibility, their sense of interconnection, and their access to visions, tools, stories and techniques for change. The fall 2002 theme issue of YES! on "Living Economies" features "Economies for Life" by Dr. Korten as its lead article. A number of his articles from prior issues are also available on this site.

Founding Associate, International Forum on Globalization

The International Forum on Globalization (IFG) is an international alliance of leading citizen spokespersons of the global civil society movement committed to ending corporate globalization's assault on life and democracy. An important IFG report Alternatives to Economic Globalization was released in November 2002 as Berrett-Koehler book. This report provides a definitive response to those who have incorrectly claimed that global civil society has no analysis and offers no alternatives. Dr. Korten was a member of the drafting group and had a central role in its preparation. It was reissued in an expanded 2nd edition in 2004
